Sadly and hesitantly, we had to put my grandfather in an aged care facility. After hearing the horror stories in the media the last few years, this was hugely concerning. The staff and facilities at Avalon House are fantastic. It’s a beautiful aged care home with plenty of space inside and out. Classically styled without feeling dated. Perfect for the demographic that frequent there. But the staff are what make this place special. Jenny, the director is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate and caring, and she makes you feel at ease from the very first contact. The nurses are something else. Truly incredible. They care so much about the residents and do everything they can to make their time there comfortable and enjoyable. Even through Covid, they did everything they could to ensure our family had as much contact with my grandfather as possible. Thank you Avalon House!
