5 stars for the Avonlea staff who were skilled, professional and also demonstrated patience & kindness to my mum Esme. Mum was a resident for almost 3 years. The staff always kept me informed, responded to any concerns I expressed & made me & other family members feel welcome. We are very grateful for mums care. The only negative - some of the rooms are very dark. It would be great if the old original privacy screens upstairs, which no longer serve any function, could be removed to improve the aspects.
Wow! Your cherished family member is in very good hands here at Avonlea. Lonnie, the newly appointed Manager is steering this facility straight to the highest standards of care and wellness for all. The staff are amazing and I am constantly in awe of the incredible work they do. My Mum is so happy here....and this brings me great relief.
My mothers best friend is living here. And l am shocked at the substandard of just awful food being served . Mums friend is beyond depressed . Profit is the name of the game in Aged Care and until the Government overhauls the whole aged living care system Things are abysmal and depressing for the aged population who have no choice but to retire to these places. Devoid of nutrition and ambience the elderly are left to sit in their rooms and wait to die .
Caring and compassionate care, giving my grandmother a comfortable and friendly place to call home. The staff are all wonderful, especially Adam who runs the place. They really genuinely care about all the residents.
Wonderful facility, great dedicated staff and the Manager, Adam and his team are gems. I remember early in Mum's stay when her scooter batteries went flat. Adam dropped everything and raced out to pick her up in his car. We put my Mum and Dad into Adam's care and Mum lived at Avonlea happily from 2011 to December just passed when she passed away. My Dad passed in 2011. I would recommend without hesitation the services of Avonlea and it's staff Robert Lavin
