Very disappointed in the lack of care provided by this centre. My godmother was a resident at this village for many years. I visited her fairly regularly until covid struck. After this time, it was phone calls with her and the centres Chaplain as my godmothers health deteriorated. I also had to post her presents to her as I couldn’t see her over covid. My godmother passed away 12 months ago and I’ve only just found out, through my own investigations. The gifts I sent for Christmas and her birthday have never been returned to me although my address was on the parcels. I was not informed of her death by the Chaplain although I’d had dealings with her in the past. I was not informed of funeral arrangements or the like either. I’m sure my godmother would have expected the Chaplain to inform me of her death as she had no children of her own to do so. I was told that this Chaplain was my first point of contact for concerns regarding my godmother. When I became concerned as I could no longer reach my godmother by phone, I rang the Chaplain and also the Village. It took them a week to get back to me and I was told of her passing. For a so called Christian facility to behave in this fashion, I find unbelievable and totally devastating. I’ve sat on this complaint for many weeks now but decided to complain after a family member, who is an active member of the Baptist Church who runs this Village, encouraged me to do so as he also is disgusted. A polite reply as to at least what has happened to the gifts I sent, would have been appreciated at least.

They have looked after my mum with brilliantly. I cannot fault any of the staff. Even through the most trying of Covid times and declining health They treat her and the family with dignity, affection and understanding.

An awful environment with terrible managment. Treated my grandfather horribly and I am beyond disappointed. Communication with the staff at this location was appalling and the thought of living there would be horrendous.
