I want to shout out to the Care manager Alison. She has helped my family immensely. A situation that was a first for her. Well….The support she gave to my 2 Aunts was outstanding and the professional care she gave, especially to our grandmother/mother was incredibly grateful 😇. My Aunts were truly overwhelmed and with out Alisons support none of this would’ve of happened. Thank you from my heart ❤️ Cathy
My wife Gwenda and I are very happy with the care given to Gwenda's mum at Riverview Care Community. During the recent COVID crisis, the staff went out of their way to provide interesting and enriching experiences for the residents, to make each day special. We have seen the loving and thoughtful care all the staff (nursing ,lifestyle, kitchen , physio, admin etc) have shown to the residents each day. Mum is really enjoying her stay at Riverview and calls her room "home" now. Lindsay and Gwenda
Excellent care given to my mum. Staff from the front desk to the manager are friendly and happy, as well as always willing to help. The way they have handled the opening up after covid has been done in an amazing way. They have kept their residents, staff and visitors safe healthy and well informed. Thanks to all who work at Bathurst Riverview.
I can't speak highly enough of Bathurst Riverview Care Community (previously Opal). I have spent alot of time at Riverview, and the hardworking staff are professional, compassionate, caring, patient and diligent - from the nursing, care and physio staff, to the hospitality, cleaning, social, maintenance and admin staff. *Everyone's* kindness and attention to my mother's (and everyone else's) health and wellbeing fills me with such gratitude and relief. The General Manager, Rod Esdaile, is a kind, attentive and supportive professional manager who responds to concerns, cares for the wellbeing also of his teams, and keeps families, staff and residents fully informed. During COVID lockdowns, it has been reassuring to see the risk assessment and procedures are proactive and mindful, and the attention to alleviating isolation with extra and special events, has been wonderful. That visitors are encouraged to bring their pets (there is a lovely dog who lives at Riverview), present to or perform for the residents (COVID-permitting) is wonderful. Visiting community musicians are encouraged. The social staff are responsive to requests, and the regular family/residents meetings with managers are a wonderful framework for suggestions, concerns and explanations to be made, heard and acted on. Riverview is also beautifully designed, like a four star hotel, as all aged care facilities should be. I can't speak highly enough of this place and its amazing staff.
Baffled with the insincerity of the staff. They called me and said I have an interview for job and if I was ready for it straight away, I wasn’t. Highly unprofessional level of communication used as well. Then, we agreed to postpone the interview to Thursday at 11:00 am. Fine. What next? The Thursday never came. Sitting with my phone all day receiving others calls but not from Opal Bathurst. A few days later I received an email thanking me for attending the interview which I didn’t bla bla bla but unfortunately bla bla bla you were not selected. Like seriously? Is this how it is supposed to work? Don’t kill people’s time please.
