My mum is in care in this wonderful facility, where both management and the front line staff are skilled, compassionate and empathic. They are quite extraordinary in their approach to care as they also value the resident’s cultural, social and faith requirements and needs. There is a wonderful culture of warmth and transparency and family is welcomed and encouraged to visit and participate. Management has worked hard to employ language appropriate staff and ensure activities are inclusive and appropriate. Health and medical needs are paramount and their reporting and communication is outstanding. Much gratitude to the Board, management and mostly the RN’s and the assistants who offer care and compassion and allow the residents to live with dignity and respect in a safe and caring environment.

Visited with a friend who has 3 long time friends residing there. The staff were very attentive to the patients, and very nice to us, it's the same every time we visit. Wish I could afford to go there if the need was to arise.

I went with my cousin to visit my aunt here. I was so impressed. The cleanliness, understanding and activities were fantastic. The food isn’t bad either.

I recently went to a function at Blakehurst Aged Care, where I was visiting a close family friend who is a resident for a special occasion. It was a lovely day and nice to see a place that actively encourages residents to enjoy themselves, but also are attentive enough to even get the residents who are not so able bodied involved in the fun. There was a band playing, dancers who got the residents up and dancing, and good quality food!. The staff were welcoming to our family and friends which helped create a special memory for us as we have not all gotten together like we did in a very long time. The staff were caring and patient with the residents, and made sure all had an enjoyable day. Thank you to all the staff at Blakehurst Aged Care.
