I did my Enrolled nursing placement at this facility, it was beautiful, the food was beautiful, the rooms and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. The residents were all so happy and kind. Management are exceptional.

Have Mum in here, the 1 star is for the atrocious food, whoever is in charge of this is not qualified for this role, the food is slop most times and not nutritious for the eldery to give them the daily requirement to keep them healthy and allow them to have the energy to enjoy life and activities. Blue care should be ashamed of themselves for the blnd eyes and deaf ears when residents voice there concerns,my understanding is residents meetings are chaired by management and the so called chef and the concerns are ignored. Management is poor and the handling of tafe students doing there placements is not at a level it should be, get your act together and look after our ageing family members they deserve better than this. I will give 4 stars separately to the majority of the staff who care about the residents, eg: RNs,housekeepers, front admin,but the food and management of the food or lack thereof needs investigation.

Pinewoods has been good for my Mother. Care is good and where there are problems with Mum Blue Care contact me quickly. Staff are caring. Mum has not settled in but it’s safe for her at Blue Care.

This facility is always short of staff, some staffs don’t even appreciate any agency staff for turning up to help them. Me, myself work as a permanent staff in another facility, I always am grateful when other agency staffs turn up because even one person makes our work so much easier. But with this facility, I’ve seen so many agencies saying “I’ll never come back here” because of the work load and the rudeness of some staff. I’ve been to so many aged care facilities but I think this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my entire life.

Dogs are allowed yo visit with relatives if on-leash. And they have a really good bunch of carers and nursing staff. Even the kitchen/food has improved since Dad first arrived. This is one place that is on the up. Afmin at the front desk are excellent as always.
