This place is disgraceful couldn’t speak to my uncle for 2 days no one answers phone No heating that works to keep residents warm No care from staff 2 hours or more to answer buzza staff stand around talking doing nothing my uncle sent to funeral home naked DiSGRACEFULL Do not put your loved ones in this home This was doneAFTER COVID
As a Clinical educator taking students here for their placements I can highly recommend this wonderful aged care . Jacqueline the manager is awesome and staff so welcoming . Lovely to see residents so happy and well looked after and the atmosphere so pleasant . Look forward to heading back with students in 2021 .
It is so obvious that 99% of the 5 star reviews on this place are fake and the very small amount that do appear real, usually refer to residents who require low level care or are from people who just ‘volunteer’ at this facility and don’t see what family members see. Please, if you’re thinking of entrusting the care of your loved one to these people, don’t. My loved one is on the high level care floor where there are over 30 beds on the floor and only 1 nurse to help them. There are also 2 ‘helpers’ who, as far as I can see, just run around turning the call buttons off when the residents press them, so they can meet their response rate targets on paper but not actually help anyone (I know this from firsthand experience - don’t let them tell you otherwise). I have real concerns about treatment at this facility. My family have made complaints and nothing has been done so now I’m posting this review. I must say, some of the staff here are beautiful and my review is not a blanket comment over all of them - it’s just such a shame there’s not more of those ones. Or just more staff in general. Whoever owns this place is an absolute disgrace - they’re the ones to be blamed. Getting fat off my loved one’s money (paying a premium for this place) while you staff the facility so poorly and with people so cold! You should be ashamed of yourselves. If you weren’t posting fake reviews, you wouldn’t have the false 3.6 star rating that you have currently - it would be an accurate, pathetic, 1 star rating overall, like you actually deserve!
Such a great facility! I volunteer here weekly, taking residents on walks & other general activities! Staff are amazing - always going above and beyond there standard duties to ensure residents are comfortable here. Staff also ensure there are a wide range of activities so residents always have something to do. Could not recommend Broughtonlea more! 🙌
The care of my mother in her last dying days was disgusting, they shut her in her room so they could block out her crying out in pain. I confronted the staff for some medication for her that the doctor had written up for her. I was told that was only for pain relief and I said she was in pain as she was dying. After an argument with staff she was finally given some pain relief and then died 4 hours later. She was in pain as her body was shutting down!! I will never forgive them for treating her this way. I was trying to get her moved to palliative care but was told they could manage this. She died before I could move her.
