I am a Nursing student and have spent the past 3 weeks working with the team at Braemar House, I think it is so special to see how much the staff at Braemar care about each individual resident, and how they do their very best to ensure the residents comfort while in the facility. Braemar offers multiple activities for the residents to join in on every day and multiple highly skilled nurses on the floor to attend to all needs. I think it is important to understand that aged care is not easy work, however the staff at Braemar have shown me amazing guidance and I think they do a great job !

I have been a long standing employee of Braemar House for over 6 years. During my time at Braemar, not only have I been treated well, but working alongside a wonderful team of colleagues, Braemar has become my second home, my second family. The dedication, care & the lengths all the staff go to, to provide maximum quality of care for the residents at Braemar House is like no other work place that I've worked for in all my years of working in Aged Care. The staff are so gentle and caring and a great rapport is established between staff and residents and its just such a caring environment for staff and resident alike. Well done Braemar.

Only put in 1 star, as no option for 0 stars. Even if your desperate to place your loved one here, DON'T do it!!!!!! My elderly loved one was placed there by one of her "friends" Intolerable treatment that they suffer, such as: - being left in her own feces for hours - Bed sores from never being moved - Over medicated by GP supplied, local hospital reviewed and more than halved the medication, my loved one was then back to normal. - Rough treatment when washing and changing (ripped her nighty) - Missed meals after I complained to management - No response from Management when I complained and asked for clarification - Rude nurses - I was yelled at by a nurse asking over the phone where the emergency button is. (Behind the bed). I then asked how you determine if a customer wants a cup of tea or is having a heart attack? She yelled at me, which made me wonder what do they do to the patients. There is no patient movement in the facility, they all lie on their backs (never moved) and with their mouth open. No activities etc Be aware it's harder to move someone from one aged care facility to another. We managed to keep my loved one in a local hospital as long as possible to avoid her going back to this facility. They were also shocked at the state of the infection to her leg, showing lack of care. When I was able to find a place at Catholic Care for her, the Patient Transfer company was "shocked"!!!! at the indent of her mattress and said"they'd never seen a mattress like that, she had obviously not been moved for a very long time" From the front person of the organisation through to the Top is extremely poor, I don't know how they sleep at night! I will be taking this facility to task through what ever avenue/'s are available to ensure the other patients are O.K. Please, please don't consider this as an option for your family member until they have been forced to make substantial changes.
