Christmas Eve my Mother was served half a frankfurt in half a white bun!. That was it, other than cold cup of terrible soup and then a bowl of tinned fruit. Really disgraceful. She ate none of it. The food is terrible from what I’ve seen-with a lack of fresh vegetables including greens. A male staff is offering to shower her, so she is refusing. How about taking notice of the quality of food and the need for a female to shower my Mother?
My Dad is a resident of Mirridong and although he would rather be at home he has developed a wonderful relationship with the staff that care for him daily. He is only 77 but paralysed due to a stroke. He is totally reliant on their care. Cannot say enough about this wonderful home.
Totally disappointed at the meal that was served up to the beautiful residents and how it was served... Plastic picnic plate with a tiny piece battered white meat and half a dozen cold potato gems. Not a bit of salad or vegs to go with it. And their hot?? Drink in paper cups.... I had to leave it upset me too much.
As a very regular visitor I can only say what a lovely place. My dad is very happy which makes his family happy. Management and staff are very approachable and do a wonderful job not only caring for residents but also entertaining them. Dad is a fussy eater and staff do everything to accommodate him and offer him something he feels like. He loves the delicious sweets. Staff help him with his phone and ipad which helps him keep in touch with family. The carers do an amazing job caring for residents with lots of different needs.
To visit my father in Aged Care was different having to go through Covid 19 testing precautions. But to keep all residents and staff free of Covid you know you have to do it 😄😄
