Do want to recommend because of the management and staff. There is very poor management, always short staff (other staff have to suffered), no quality care i've seen. One important thing the staff go very personal (asking about the relationships, married or unmarried) which should'nt be their business. They should have more focus on quality of work the staff been doing instead of exploring others relationships. I worked hard there but get no appreciation. worst facility ever i've worked with in my experience. thankyou
One of the best place I have been. Very kind, respectful, hard working people from Personal assistants, nurses to manager. They all work together to deliver the best services. Thank you Rye Sands for your hard work.
Kristeen Mackenzie is the only down fall of the facility.. staff in general where fantastic towards myself and my late mother. but the way I got treated when I went back to clear mums room by Kristeen was absolutely Disgusting. I would not treat anyone like she did, especially when there mother had just passed, which was the case. Her lack of communication with her staff caused her to tell me I was not aloud into my mums room when I had already approved clearance. I had the door shut and took my face shield off as it was very warm in there. She barged in and started at me as she did not ask staff the appropriate questions before coming to tell me to leave. She also said I should be wearing face shield and mask whilst clearing the room even tho the door was shut, and she walked in without either and left door ajar whilst trying to have a go at me. Never have I been so insulted, and treated so poorly when all I ever did in that place was go that extra mile for other tenants in there and do the rounds with my malteese shitzu bear to say hello and lil bear putting a smile on there face before making my way upstairs to visit mum, daily for approximately 1 year. So thankyou to all the staff except her.. My mother already spoke of her and how she made things hard for staff and residents. She is in the wrong industry ..
My nan spent her last days in here, the care and love she received from all the staff was beyond amazing, the facility is beautiful and modern I'm glad my nan was surrounded by not only family but fantastic staff who cared for her through her whole time there thank you to all the staff at Japara.
Most compassionate management I've personally ever worked for. Facility is very modern, and a 5 minute walk from the beach.
