My mum stayed here for respite and it was a terrible experience. She was recovering from a broken back and staff allocated her a child's size bed with no safety rails. She did not sleep for 3 weeks as she was scared of falling out and after asking for a different bed several times nothing was done. A patient who I assume has dementia in the bed next to her threatened to kill her while staff were present and they did nothing to fix the situation. After several calls from her during the night crying her eyes out saying she didn't feel safe I ended up having to resign from my job to bring her home early and care for her myself which has been extremely difficult. We will be making a complaint to the aged care ombudsman about this facility.
