My father has been here in Cleary for 4 months. During that time he has put on weight, is active and engages with others. This is a massive change in behaviour and health and reflects the care and attention the staff, and the home, give to him. This place leans heavily on medical services and work hard at providing quality care and support to the elderly. There has been a recent management change and communication has dropped somewhat since then. This is the only negative comment I can make. Am hoping that changes because it’s frustrating to email questions and consistently get no response.
I cannot speak highly enough of the Opal facilities and the staff. Opal staff have demonstrated professionalism and care to our mother and family extending us concessions on compassionate grounds. This means the world to us and I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are considering this facility as an option for a loved one, look no further.
My dad has been there for 10 months. The staff are lovely however the cleanliness needs to be addressed. There is more staff required and more need to be trained in dementia care. Accessing doctors is difficult which is frustrating. Communication needs to be addressed.
I had heard good things about this nursing home so recommended it to friends who were looking for somewhere for their older brother. He has been their for a couple of years now and my friends couldn't be happier. I will gladly recommend Opal at Cameron Park to anyone in the future.
