Disrespectful of how the staff dress up. There should be a proper uniform when you work. Wearing Crop tops for work. Shameful to see. Some one needs to look into it. Not very professional.
We are neighbours who have lived in a unit block directly in front of the Charingfield facility for several years. There is a woman who can be heard, at all hours of the day or night, screaming "Help" and "Hey" for hours on end with no interruption. We've heard her at 4am on a Wednesday, we've heard her at midday on a Saturday. Not once has she stopped within two hours at minimum, and once, we counted five hours of screaming non-stop from midnight to 5am. We can only assume no one goes to check on her or reassure her during these episodes, as she takes no pauses and sounds genuinely distressed the entire time this goes on. On top of that, the hostel has an incredibly loud series of alarms and sirens, which often go off at random times during the day and very early morning, with no warning. The alarms go through a set, sometimes repeating "This is a drill", over and over, for long stretches of time. This has happened more than half a dozen times in the last 18 months, once again, sometimes in the middle of the night on a weekday. We have reported both the screaming and the alarms to the police many times, and nothing has been done so far that we can see. I have no idea what goes on in this building, but as a live-in carer for an elderly grandparent myself, I would never entrust a loved one to their supervision. I genuinely worry over the well-being of the woman we can hear screaming for help, and wish there was more we could do to hold whoever is in charge accountable for the concerning things we hear living a stone's throw away.
I am a high care non demented aged guest and find this place excellent.
Private rooms with own bathrooms are high quality. An elderly friend stayed there on respite break.
