Many staff have left, many unfair dismissals, lots of cover ups.
Beautiful place. They let me visit my Nan on a no visitation day as I'd come all the way from Townsville. Staff were so friendly, warm and kind and even gave my kids ice cream.
My mother's had 3 weeks of respite at Doherty Villa. She could not fault the staff, the service or the food. All the staff were so welcoming and so very kind and attentive to everyone's needs. Thank you all so much. . It is her desired last home when the time is right. ❤
Been trying to get my mums Santa clause and also a copy of her paperwork for almost 4 years. I'm told someone will call me but no one ever does my mother was bedridden and died of a head injury. She couldn't walk yet was found on the floor in her bathroom. She had a sensor beam on her and a crash mat with a sensor yet neither went off. No doubt because they were semi unplugged so they looked plugged in but we're not. I'd caught them out on this before. If U have a loved one here seriously consider putting a camera in thier room.. they way U have proof of anything happens. Not happy with this place at all.
Mum was really happy in Dougherty Villas. The staff were lovely and her room was airy and light with a view out to the lawn and area where residents can pot plants for themselves. There is a little kitchenette so if friends popped in she could make a cuppa and a fridge to keep anything cool that she might like to have apart from what is supplied for meals. The bathroom had all the safety bars etc to make things easier and safer for her. She loved having a hairdresser there to have her hair done as well. I would highly recommend this place for the care of your loves one.
