Good place of work. Good team
Took wonderful care of our mum before she passed away.
I have been a resident since. June 2016 inc.4 weeks respite. As I walked through the door, I knew I was home. I still feel the same way. Come and join us.
I can't speak from experience, but as someone who shopped around, looking for a nursing home for a family member, Doutta Galla Kensington was the best out of about 8 places I checked out. The residents looked happier than anywhere else, the staff seemed happier, and the cost was a bit less than most of the others. I also know of at least one resident who said he was happy there. I checked out a the Footscray and Yarraville as well. They were both pretty nice but Kensington seemed like the best.
Nice people in charge; poor service though; my parent in for respite absconded; they didn't know; took me to tell them! When i removed my parents i tried to get a refund for the fees i paid; they would not issue a check in my name just my parent's; useless to me. I inquired with government's aged care complaints; they advised that in my case a cheque could have been issued to me. But they refused. Looking for care I suggest yo try elsewhere; shame really the manager and reception staff are great.
