After moving my mum to this nursing home we are very pleased with this place. They have taken her in two outings in the short time she's been there. They do more interesting activities there and you can look at photos of them on their private social media group. This place is older than the last place so things have more wear and tear, but they seem to be in good working order. The rooms are also but a bit smaller but they are still comfortable enough They also have mum some home made blankets and throws to make her room more homet. The staff are more organised and very welcoming. One thing was that the courtyards were too hot on warmer days. Maybe some shade cloth would help keep it cooler.
Was going to put my mum here but after reading the reviews NO CHANCE IN HELL.
The standard of care in this place has become average over the past several months. I don’t find it acceptable for someone to be paying hundreds of thousands of dollars and not have their basic care needs met without family members constantly following up on things. The new management has no real empathy for residents or family of residents.
So far I’ve been very happy with the care my father has gotten at Estia Hope Valley. The staff have been so welcoming and my dad feels safe and very comfortable there.
Called to see if my Nanna is there and what time is visting hours. Was told my Andrew that he can't tell me as im not family and needs to get permission from her family to see or even know she is there. Im her grandson what thats how you get talk to. Rudely. Really. In customer service u should of said please hold. Called my dad and he would of told you. So yeah thanks. If this is how they treat family I'd hate to see how they treat my nanna.
