Dear Sandy and to all your wonderful staff at Team Fairway, We would like to thank you for all the support and genuine care that you provided to mum this year. We really felt fortunate to have found another 'home away from home' that was full of warm, caring and friendly staff that really cared for her. You are all wonderful people and do an amazing job in a challenging industry. After visiting a number of aged care facilities we certainly noticed the difference with Fairway on our first visit - the homely feel of the facility and the warm and friendly smiles of both the staff and residents. It was a blessing to find such a facility and we never looked back. You made our whole family welcome with every visit and we all particularly appreciated the support that both you and your team provided in mum's final days. Thanks again Sandy and Team Fairway.

Dear Sandy, and to all your wonderful staff (Lois, Caroline, Tonianne, Christine, Chrissy and others I'm embarrassed not to recall), thank you all for the kindness and care you showered on mum, and the support you provided to me in mum's last hours, and upon her death. I could not have wished for more. Every time I saw mum she told me how peaceful it was "never an argument between staff or residents". Everyone's patience in hearing again (and again... and again...) mum's stories is a testament to your love, as much as your care for her physical needs. A while back I was in a taxi talking with the driver and he mentioned that he had recently quit a job as a contract cleaner working within the aged care industry and said he could no longer stomach the poor care that he saw... with one shining exception: Fairway. The programs run for residents, in particular, the 'cycling for the aged' are exemplary. It was a real joy for mum to get outside and get a bit of wind in her hair and sun on her face. She was a 'speed demon' and was happiest when I was pedaling faster than I should :). I know many other residents enjoy the rides too. We only hope that when our time comes there are still loving spirits to carry on your work, overseen by one as compassionate as you dear Sandy.
