My mum's been here for six months. Can't fault it. Staff are great, food is good and the place has a great vibe. They also don't discriminate.
Kirkbrae has proved to be a home with a heart. The duty of care is exceptional and my parents have both been cared for by an outstanding team of deeply caring professionals. Thank you to all at Kirkbrae
After living at Kirkbrae for three and a half years, my mother recently passed away. Since then we have dealt with other retirement villages for my in-laws. The difference is stark!! The newer-looking villages offer flashy looking accomodation and facilities, whereas on the outside Kirkbrae doesn't look quite as appealing as some. Dig deeper at Kirkbrae and you will find comfortable, homely interiors, and the most welcoming community feel. The Staff and Management at Kirkbrae offer amazing support and care for all their residents. They go way above and beyond what the larger villages offer. The residents are welcoming and very caring of each other, and include any new residents into their village community. The personalised attention to the residents needs and comfort are paramount, which can differ greatly from the more "corporate-owned" villages. Our experience at Kirkbrae allowed my mum some of the happiest years of her life. The comfort this gave us was immeasurable. We are so grateful to the residents, staff and management of Kirkbrae for making my mother's final years filled with happiness.
My mother had six wonderful years at Kirkbrae. From the beginning, mum was treated with respect and dignity. All people who looked after her genuinely had her wellbeing first and foremost, from nurses, carers, lifestyle, pastoral, physios and administration. As her advocate I always had people I could talk to, to understand what was happening if I had questions and Kirkbrae made sure I was informed when needed. The support, love and care given to my mother in her final days made a very sad time bearable and peaceful. Thank you Kirkbrae people.
Staff are very hard working and really care about their residents. Go in and see for yourself.
