Killara Hostel is an aged care home with 38 permanent and 2 respite single rooms, each featuring an ensuite and garden views. The facilities include dining and lounge areas with high cathedral ceilings, climate control, and entertainment systems such as TVs, sound systems, Karaoke, Wii, and an organ.

The Bass Unit caters specifically to dementia patients and includes a 51 m2 lounge area and a 44 m2 dining-kitchen area. Additional amenities offered are an activities room with computers and crafts, a kitchenette, BBQ facilities, fish ponds, and in-house laundry. Security measures include secured night access and direct phone systems. The hostel provides comprehensive care through registered and enrolled nurses, and personal care assistants, available 24/7.
