I spent the day with Makayla, Helen, Vicki and Janet. These women have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share about babies, sleeping, self settling, feeding etc. I highly recommend KWR sleep school to all new parents and have recommended two friends attend, who are now booked in. The education comprise of both theoretical and hands on coaching - they show you in real time hands on techniques to teach your baby to self settle. I believe the Australian Gov/ and or State Gov need to invest more money and time in BF and sleep education before bub comes. Having a baby is like doing a Masters in a topic you know nothing about, and it would be sooo much easier if new mums have these tools on hand. Eg how to express colostrum, what a good routine looks like etc. Thanks KWR sleep school for a fabulous day. Note this is a FREE program.
It has been a month now after attending the sleep training program at Early Parenting Unit, the experience was amazing. I was actually referred by a friend who attended before. My son has a huge improvement since night 1 coming back from the program. The soothing method we learnt was gentle approach, customised to our baby behaviour. He also learnt the self soothing method and able to fall back to sleep when he wakes, which means no more arm sore carry and frequent wakes. Sometimes I still call them to get some advice if I’m in doubt, the team always get back to me for reassurance and supports. The team members are friendly and helpful, from what I know is most of them are retired but still working part time because they just simply enjoy their roles and passionate about helping other families. This make a huge difference in our life, I’m so regret that didn’t attend the class earlier as I wish. We as a parent got back our own time now, everyone has some good sleep. Big thank you again to the fabulous team (Helen, Carolyn, Melissa, Wendy, Janet), you guys are simply awesome!
The Day Stay Sleep School Program at the Early Parenting Unit is incredible! I’d hit rock bottom with sleep deprivation from my 7 month old son. I had no idea it was all due to him being unable to self settle. The very experienced midwives showed me how to teach my son to self settle from awake with responsive hands on settling. They used a very clear and structured method of when to go in to him and when to leave him. No long stints of leaving bub to cry, it was a very gentle and responsive approach. Amazingly within 1 day we were already seeing improvements and by the second night he was sleeping through. Insane! Thank you Kooweerup Early Parenting Unit. You have saved our lives 🙏🏻
This place is worth it’s weight in gold. The midwives are phenomenal, highly recommend the early parenting unit for any exhausted parents whose babies aren’t sleeping
