I can highly recommend MLH! When we had retired and thought of our future, my husband and I liked the concept of ‘ageing in place’ together and we found MLH the place that would give us that opportunity. For many years, we lived in a comfortable Independent Living Unit in the retirement village. We valued the company of the other residents and enjoyed the many activities. However, it was when my husband became very ill and the MLH staff were helping us and found a room for him in the nursing home, that I realised how lucky we were to have chosen MLH, because what matters now more than anything else is the thoughtful and friendly care he receives. I still live in the village and see my husband as often as possible. The hours we spend together are wonderful, we have time for another and are truly getting old together, almost as we had always wished.
My auntie has been a resident at Martin Luther Homes for 5 years. Prior to moving there we really didn't know how to manage looking after her with all her needs with diet, medication and hygiene. Martin Luther Homes treat her like she is a family member and care for all her needs and make every effort to keep her safe in Covid but also safe procedures for visitation.
The wonderful care that the staff shows to the residents is second to none. They are so welcoming and communicative with families. It was such a difficult and stressful time when the decision was made for my mother to move into care. She has been a resident now for almost 3 years and she is so well and very happy. The staff helped to make the transition so easy. I can’t recommend Martin Luther Homes enough.
I have been living at Martin Luther Homes in the Retirement Village since 2015. I have tried many retirement homes without much luck until I found Martin Luther Homes. I was made very welcome and soon enjoyed all the special activities provided. I have made many good friends over the past years and we look out for each other every day. There is also caring management and staff and a feeling of security. I am very happy here and can highly recommend Martin Luther Homes!
My Father passed this morning, he had been living at Martin Luther Homes in The Basin for the last 5 years, at first with Mum and then on his own. Today I have seen many of the staff in tears over his passing and I have been given heartfelt condolences by the people who cared for him every day. I can truely say he was loved and treated like family by the staff there. He was treated with respect and kindness at all times and I am very grateful for the care he was given.
