My MIL was placed in care at mercy care albury after being highly recommended. She Is late stages dementia. She was there 6 weeks max and developed a bed sore on her lower back that is now infected/sepsis. Please if anybody has family in care check for these signs.. we didn’t think to check as you pay for care and dont expect this. She is currently in palliative care on morphene because the pain is unbearable for her. And it’s a matter of hours/days. Where with proper care I feel we could of still had months maybe years? . Absolutely disgraceful place. Management in Perth have been fantastic. We got an email from aged care quality safety commission that they have been there and found that they failed to meet quality services.. yes well my MIL is paying for this.. please be very aware before going there.. or if you do make sure you check for bedsores and anything else..
Excellent facility. Staff very welcoming upon arrival..Very user friendly place. Plenty of room and seating available. Spacious living areas for clients. Very wide hallways.
