Peaceful and exceptionally convenient.
Both my parents are now being well cared for in this nursing facility. Recent refurbishments have been a great improvement to the overall ambience and we love the homely feel. The staff are amazing, friendly and most welcoming. Naturally in some circumstances not all needs are met in a timely manner however every due consideration is made as best as individuals can. There are always lots of daily activities such as bingo, exercising routines, quiz afternoons. Pets are allowed in special circumstances and there is a bird cage with budgies and occasionally pets are bought in for interaction with patients. The meals have improved of late with most dietary requirements being well catered for, however once again in some circumstances not all are completely satisfied at all times but all due consideration is made. The small internal atriums and roomy courtyards make for great outlooks within the complex and we have hardly ever noticed urine smells when visiting. Overall we are extremely happy to have chosen Mercy Place for both our parents who can remain happily connected and in good hands after 64 years of marriage.
My mother has been in this facility for over 12 months and I strongly recommend people look around carefully before deciding on any aged care facility, particularly this one.
I nearly didn't look at Mercy in Mandurah after reading the review about odours. Decided to form my own opinion. I 'm so glad I did. The ONLY odours were NICE ones! Have put in an application for my mother. Very impressed with everything. Fingers crossed.
Looks nice on the outside. The strong smell of pee pee was a bit gross. I don't look forward to getting old. I hope I lose my mind.
