kicked my cat out
Do not send your loved ones here. I repeat DO NOT! We were so disappointed in this place and ended up moving Mum out. They have such a high turnover of temps and agency staff which shows they do not care about their residents making social bonds with their carers. I've witnessed people sitting in their pants soaked with urine or faeces just left for hours. I've also seen faeces sitting on the floors of public bathrooms for days and when you tell a carer/nurse they sit there like sloths. The staff make no attempt to enquire into their residents lives. When Mum entered we made it clear that Mum is a vegetarian which they made no attempt to provide meals for her. On more than one occasion when I was there they tried to give her meat and she politely told them she doesn't eat meat. They said there wasn't anything else so most nights Mum had salad or sandwiches. $6k a month for a garden salad. Mum said that at one point she was called demanding by a staff member because she asked for something veggie to eat. Disgusting treatment. We were paying about 6k a month here and Mum was depressed as they would just leave her in her room all day. Believe me there are better homes out there where they put the residents first before money.
