A beautiful establishment but very under trained staff don’t be fooled. My mother was a resident here and all was reasonably well until she needed palliative care, staff had no idea and didn’t follow doctors instructions which meant she suffered unnecessarily, including being left in a soiled bed, she wasn’t checked on 2 hourly as I was informed was the procedure they followed. I had to stay overnight to ensure they did take care of her needs and requirements. Quite disappointed and disgusted that this happens our aging generation deserve better.

If you are looking for a home for your beloved parents, Mount Clear Aged Care would be another great choice. You are most welcome to have a look around the place and see what we have to keep your parents busy, occupied and happy. The range of activities are for either sociable or non sociable people. For example, we have a walking group in the morning. After that we have tea or coffee at a morning club. We love singing along so we do singing before morning group exercise. After exercise, we do meditation. In the afternoon, we encourage our residents to enjoy activities such as Bingo, Table games, Sing along, Retail Therapy, Drum Fit, Mindfulness, Spiritual Time and Art and craft. We, the care team, may not a perfect choice but we are all ears to listen to our residents’ needs. We just wanted to see most residents have the best time with us. Also, we committed to improve our services along the way. What about our residents who are not keen on social group? Don’t worry! We have our lifestyle team members and some volunteers come to see our shy residents daily. We want to ensure no one feels left out. If you like to have someone with a good understanding in diversity come to talk to the residents, we can visit on a regular basis. We are able to read the book or newspaper, to assist a plant parent to continue taking care of all plants, or to exercise in the room. Please come in and see for yourself. Consider what strengths we have and what we are open for a future improvement.

One Star is to many for this facility. End of life care is not available at all. Staff has no training on handling palliative care. To whom that may consider this facility,, Don’t be fooled by the entrance. Look for another home.

Care and communication sub par, alot of yes we will but rarely followed through, don't be dazzled by the very nice facility, the staff members were on a whole lovely just very inexperienced and the dignity and overall care of the residents was a let down.

This is a well designed, brand new, large facility with a good range of facilities and very caring, friendly staff. We had really enjoyable Christmas lunch there with my father in law, who now lives there It started with an prawn cocktail entree, followed by a a fresh, hot main with tender beef, ham, turkey, crisp roast vegetables and greens. We finished the lunch with Christmas pudding, custard and coffee with chocolate mints and a range of other sweets in bowls, in the courtyard. They staff were friendly, attentive and very caring towards residents. They were smiling and cheerful, going out of their way to create a happy Christmas atmosphere. We are most impressed with the residence.
