The most beautiful and homely facility with caring and knowledgeable staff who treat my treasured neighbour like family. I always feel so reassured when going to visit. Thank you
Deeply regret not researching the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission website for current non-compliance notices and sanctions beforehand. These are the areas where we experienced significant failures in our expectations of care provision in accordance with the minimum industry standards defined by the Commission. Had we done this, we would not have been swayed by the lovely aesthetics and atmosphere.
Not good, mother was fed with gastric tube, Nazareth staff were offered training with setting the tube up for feed also fir cleaning of gastric tube. Family had been caring for mother at home and upon her entering Nazareth to have QEH staff teach NAZARETH HOW TO PREP AND CLEAN. Nazareth management said No as would be too expensive. We found junior staff wrongly prepping and cleaning tube. Cleaning a tube that empties directly into the stomach, by pouring Coke aCola into it. This was only supposed to be used sparingly as mother was a diabetic. We had to remind management of this. Mothers last days were spent in a coma.
Great God! Beautiful building, nice people, warm aged care home!
After years of fantastic care Staff here were unbelievable during the last few days of my grandmother's life. The family couldn't have asked for any better care and attention not only to make those last few days comfortable for Grandma but also members of the family who were sitting with her.
