Can't believe after all this time Regis Brighton is only showing 60-69% vaccination rates of their staff. Wow. Vic govt. put aged care workers at the front of the queue in June - why hasn't the company facilitated the vaccination of their staff?
My father has been at Regis Brighton since September 2017. We as a family could not be happier with the standard and level of care my father recieves. The staff there are all extremely freindly and courteous and are ready to help with anything my dad may need or any information we request. The menu has great variety and is changed frequently, they even cater for family if they would like to sit down and have a meal with their loved one, something I have done with one of my sons a few times and the meal has been of a very high standard. The activities and outings when allowed (depending on Covid rules) are varied and lots of fun for the residents, as my dad say's "If there is something on, I'm into it!" This is extremely pleasing to us as we are not always available to visit but we know there are lots of things to keep him amused, some of the activities are tailored to each individual, in saying that it's up to the individual if they want to take part. Last year was an extremly difficult period for anyone that had relatives in age care, I can say that the manager at Regis Brighton, Justine and her amazing team went above and beyond to keep us informed about how my dad was going with daily updates and zoom calls so we could have face to face contact with him. The care, attention and love my dad was given through this time was nothing sort of brilliant and every staff memeber did their part. As my dad always likes to say to me "You found the best place for my here, I just love it!" As a daughter that just warms my hear, you just want your loved ones to be happy and well looked after. We are very happy with the care and attention our father receives. The building is clean and modern. Meals are enjoyed, buy a relatively fastidious man. Thank you for the care.
If anyone needs to move into Aged Care, my only advice is to look at Regis in Brighton. My Mum's been looked after there by the caring staff ('my band of angels') for the past 5 years. I can't rave highly enough about them, or the place in general - it really feels like home. I'm not usually a person who raves, but I can't help it when it comes to Regis Brighton.
Great facility with fantastic residents and some wonderful staff. I have recently completed Certificate III in Aged Care and was fortunate to do 2 of my 3 weeks placement at Bayside Gardens. I was welcomed by the residents and looked after by the staff, what a lovely place...
