Having worked for Regis as a Head Chef in BIRKDALE and having been an entertainer I have always found Regis to be a truly professional group I have made many friends there It is excellent group Robbie Dunn
I had the pleasure of entertaining the residents here this week. It's wonderful to see how much they enjoy hearing some familiar songs and to see the staff enjoying a bit of slightly less intense work time. What wonderful staff they are too. The residents seem to be in very good care.
I was here for two weeks respite the staff are nice and friendly but if you have any rare medical conditions they do not address it here metabolic team from mater hospital contacted them of the importance of my diet and the cognitive, behaviour, mood depression and mental retardation it causes I got fed up try to explain everyday the issues with my diet with different staff on shift.
An absolutely exceptional team of caring and professional Nursing and Administration staff. Treating and supporting people and their individual needs with compassion rather than just a business.
You'll be hard pressed to find a more caring group of people in a wonderful located aged care home. Recently had a look there and is far more than I expected. Dementia area is really good and though it'll be hard for my wife, I'm happy she'll be well looked after. Don't know why the other person commented on not being bothered with this place - sure it's like a hotel (and who doesn't like a hotel?), but it's the care and overall feel that I'm most interested in for my wife and for me when I visit. Maybe they should look somewhere else!
