My mother was here for almost 5 years. The staff here are wonderful, very patient and caring. A very dedicated and professional team. I can't praise them enough. Mums room had everything she needed with plenty of room and a nice view. I think Mum was quite happy and comfortable there. However, the same cannot be said of the administration / finance departments of The Salvation Army in the eastern states. The ones who manage the residents fees and Refundable Accommodation Deposits. BEWARE!! Once your loved one has passed and Probate is passed be prepared for a struggle to get your money returned. Have a look on the website, and see how few ways they are contactable. We were constantly given incorrect instructions and left waiting days or weeks for replies. This is NO way to treat grieving families. For a Christian organisation to show no compassion, very little care and a slap dash attitude is unexpected and disappointing to say the least. Mums bank in comparison was so helpful and professional, they knew exactly what needed to be done, without them we would still be waiting. If your not familiar with computers then good luck to you, they are impossible to contact by phone.
