I wanted to thank the Seymour hospital staff for your incredibly human approach to care. Especially Chris, tgank you so much for looking after Ruby and my car keys while I was transported to Shepparton hospital with a broken ankle. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas. Thank you again! Penny
Amazing service from the nurses here after kilmore sending my son home twice saying nothing was wrong. After seeing the nurses at Seymour who went above and beyond and found the problem to then go out of their way to help when the issue needs to be referred to the northern they have still done all arrangements etc for us, and even a physio home visit. The staff here are all amazing I can't thank them enough.
Appalled at the treatment today when I am in pain for last 2 days and reluctantly went to this hospital for some answers. They literally did my obs and i rested on the bed for 2 minutes before they were ushering me out the door. I am in so much pain in my tummy and feel even more reluctant to go to a hospital for help again. I am sick of being treated like a junky for being in pain and feeling degraded. The nurse was very rude in the way she treated me. I haven't experienced pain like this and I am scared. This is the second time I have been to the hospital for having bad back pains and it is the second time i have been degraded and assumed that i am a junky. Even if i was a junky, i am still a human being and should be treated with concern and empathy.
This 75 year old war veteran has long been a burden to our countries coffers with approx 40 admissions to private hospitals and ditto services supplied by our various state systems public hospitals. ( I travel quite widely ). The standards I set for myself are really high but others are happily allowed 'average' norms. In essence I'm pretty experienced but rarely do I lodge complaints preferring to pass on compliments rather than complain. I am delighted to compliment Seymour District Hospital for the, quite literally, 200% service I was given on Monday 20 Sept when I presented with what could easily have been cardiac issues. This hospital truly delighted me with genuine care and compassion. It wasn't only my 3 nurses either. The tea lady was lovely, the roast beef was better than my grand mothers and the cleaning ladies worked tirelessly to perfection. Because of my experiences there I left feeling genuinely important, cared about and truly worthwhile. If ONLY all institutions, businesses and people were of this wonderful standard. I'm indebted to ALL of you people . Brian Metcalfe
