Ashford Ageing Care Facility offers a variety of amenities tailored to the leisure and health needs of residents. It features a large dining room with safety-designed chairs, an air-conditioned lounge with recliners and a large TV, and two private sitting rooms that can double as dining areas for visiting families. Additionally, there is an activity room with a kitchen and covered outdoor spaces for fresh air enjoyment.
The facility ensures safety with covered verandahs and has consistently passed all inspections by the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency since 1993. It employs locally sourced, onsite-trained staff to cater to the specific needs of residents in a regional rural setting. Residents also have access to a hairdressing salon.

No Accommodation fee for respite

Sunhaven Hostel supports eligible government funded residents with subsidised fees.
Instead of paying a RAD you can choose to pay a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) which is a non-refundable daily fee, based on the room price and the maximum permissable interest rate set by the Department of Health and Aged Care.
Residents at Sunhaven Hostel on average received 237 minutes of total daily care (114% target) from a combination of support workers, enrolled and registered nurses. In December 2024, a Registered Nurse was on site 05:01 hours per day.
