The decision to put mum into care wasn't an easy one to take but I felt she needed much more care than I could give her. I was recommended The Ashley by a fabulous carer from Darebin City Council and her recommendation was right - it's a lovely place, mum loves being there, and she's very well cared for. The staff and residents are all really friendly and I know mum's receiving the care she needs.
My Father has just entered The Ashley, under difficult circumstances, and the transition has been made seamless through care and professionalism throughout. I am both delighted and very relieved that we made the decision to choose The Ashley for my Dad’s next stage of live. Thank you to everyone. Mark
BAD PLACE DO NOT GO HERE they do not do their job well and over medicate their patients
The Ashley is a quality care facility. The staff are caring and always communicative and give the impression of always enjoying their work. Some staff have also worked at the care home for many years. The shared resident facilities are well managed and organised with a wide range of activities for the residents to participate in. Having an on-site kitchen is also a great bonus. My partner and I searched for a long time to find a home that would care for my 93 year old mother in ways that I was unable to given her increasing needs. A great place.
Hello Just send me feedback. Whilst I understand the impact of Covid especially in the age care sector I am a little concerned about how our loved ones and staff are feeling. When mum first went into care I was absolutely sure that the Ashley filled all the requirements we wanted including staff morale and the joy one could feel throughout the home. Lately with so much change I have noticed how gloomy and functional the atmosphere has become. Staff used to laugh with each other and residents making for a happy and carefree environment. This atmosphere has virtually disappeared! Where has the laughter and happiness gone?? Staff appear run off their feet with little or no time to interact with each other and the residents. We need to care for the carers more and bring back that happy interaction they had with each other and residents. Hopefully with time and encouragement from management this great atmosphere of laughter will return and pass down to residents making for a wonderful place to work and live. Regards Kay
