Chelsea Lodge and Werruna are aged care homes managed by Hesse Rural Health, situated in Winchelsea. Chelsea Lodge offers 21 private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, all overlooking gardens and paddocks. It features a dining area for up to 50 people during events, a common room with entertainment options, an activities room, and a care planning room for family meetings. Meals are prepared on-site.
Werruna, a 10-bed facility specifically catering to dementia patients, opened in 2010 and is internationally recognized. It organises weekly outings via its own bus service to various local events and sites. Recreational activities at Werruna include performances, recitals, guest speakers, church services, and workshops, enhancing resident engagement and quality of life.

Winchelsea Hostel and Nursing Home Society Inc supports eligible government funded residents with subsidised fees.
Instead of paying a RAD you can choose to pay a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) which is a non-refundable daily fee, based on the room price and the maximum permissable interest rate set by the Department of Health and Aged Care.
Residents at Winchelsea Hostel and Nursing Home Society Inc on average received 167 minutes of total daily care (98% target) from a combination of support workers, enrolled and registered nurses. In December 2024, a Registered Nurse was on site 24:00 hours per day.
