Absolutely beautiful environment, all the staff are amazing especially the Dementia Specific Wing. The care manager is wonderful, friendly and very accommodating, runs the facility extremely well. I would definitely recommend this Care Facility 100%. My mother was very happy there.
Thank you to the staff of Aegis Woodlake Nursing Home for their loving care of our mother from February 2018 till her passing on 24th October 2020. We appreciate your attention in this very difficult occupation in very trying times. However, the conduct of management at the nursing home does not replicate that of the under-paid and over-worked carers. On 22nd October my sister advised me that mum was not at all well (palliative care....) and that she may not live till my next scheduled visit on Monday 26th October. As a result I went to the home on Friday 23rd October - my sister was already inside visiting - BUT was refused entry because it was 11.05am AND IT WASN'T ARRANGED!!!!! Management knew mum was close to death in palliative care ( or SHOULD HAVE...) BUT that didn't matter. The woman at the front desk came out .... then she said you MUST have a flue vax...... STILL trying to bar entry. I explained that my fax confirmation was on file. This is not what we expect from our "caring" homes. Finally my sister explained the situation to the manager and I was allowed in for the visit. Another visitor arrived (mum's former neighbour for 43 years...) some 10 minutes later and my sister was able to get her in also. The management did what they could to derail the visit to my dying mum....... SHE PASSED AWAY THE NEXT MORNING. Thankfully I was able to spend those last few moments with her........... be careful when selecting aged care facilities.......... IT MAY NOT BE FOR YOU. THANK YOU.............................
